The Chın Cup Therapy Evaluated On Effects Of Temporomandıbular Joınt Dysfunctıon

The aim of this study is to examine whether the early chin cup therapy may cause the craniomandibular disorder. The study included 34 cases. The treatment group consisted of 13 girls, 4 boys. These cases have skeletal CI III malocclusion and they have PP2, S growth period according to hand-wrist films. The chin cup therapy was applied to treated group of 16 months period. Afüed cnir cup therapy was completed the cases have been followed up for 24 months period. The control group consist of 9 girls 8 boys and have different malocclusion. These cases had not received orthodontic treatment. There is no Temporomandibular joint dysfunction sign and symptoms in all cases in the beginning of this study. The Rakosi Functional Analysis has been made all the cases. It has been noted that the early chin cup therapies, which are applied, would not cause craniomandibular disorder.
