The Evaluatıon Of Canıne And Molar Teeth Localızatıons In Dental Arches Of Class I Malocclusıon Cases

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the canine and molar teeth positions were normal or abnormal according to their ideal dental arch positions (according to Bonwill-Hawley arch form) in Class I malocclusion cases. For this aim, dental casts, taken from 20 skeletodental Class I malocclusion case, were used in this study. The ages of the subjects were 12 and over. The arch length discrepancies had increased in these cases. Two groups were performed in this study. The first group had included dental casts with crowding and the second group had been idealized from original dental arches which have been corrected according to Bonwill-Hawley. For each group, eight dimensional and six proportional measurements were used in this study group. Maxillary intercanine / intermolar ratios and maxillary intermolar width were similar in two groups, however all the other measurements have shown statistically significant differences.
