The Relationship between Speech Disorders and Orthodontic Abnormalities

Most of specific speech movements are made in the anterior part of the mouth. The orthodontists and speech specialists have long been interested in the physiology of the oropharyngeal mechanism to understand the relationship between speech defects and malocclusions. The aim of this review is to present information about the relationship between speech disorders and orthodontic abnormalities.
